We’ve all experienced this. You’re just browsing, maybe you’re thinking about potential gifts, maybe it’s your first time visiting, and every piece is a new experience, and then you see it.

It’s like your eyes are drawn to it, like it is calling for you. You’ve just met, and you’re already enamored.

Maybe it’s a ring. Maybe it’s a pendant, or a pair of earrings. Maybe it’s something else, but it’s calling you. It is meant for you.

You may be thinking that I’m making this up, that I’m messing with you. But I’ve seen this phenomenon often at the pearl store, I’ve felt it myself. There’s a certain mesmerized air about the clients as they look and try their chosen pieces. And the joy on their faces when they get it for themselves or are spontaneously gifted by their partner or friends cannot be compared.

I’ve seen couples come in, the wife falls in love with something, but decides against getting it. Then five minutes later, the husband rushes in, asking for her chosen piece and the giddy look on his face when we wrap the gift.

On the same vein, it is always heart-breaking when they don’t go for it, and when they finally come back the piece they loved is gone.

Our pearls may not be a basic need, but if you like it, you want it, and you can afford it, what’s wrong with a little indulgence for longstanding happiness?
