La Catrina visita la Granja

A la orilla del mar

Se acerca, avecina,

La famosa Catrina

Se adorna de flores,

Y muchos colores.

Se adorna de perlas,

¡Tienes que verlas!

Vela bailar, vela brillar,

A la orilla del mar.

Si, escucharon bien, la Catrina vino de visita a la Granja de Perlas. Desde Maquilas Tetakawi se vino a probar unas piezas de joyería para presumir.

Nuestra pálida señora pinta de colores el muelle de la Granja de Perlas, con su vestido fúnebre y las vivaces flores que decoran su pelo y su cara. Uniendo la vida y la muerte, el mar y la tierra, recordándonos la belleza de la vida.

Si bien nuestras perlas ya son coloridas, en este video realmente relucen. La plata destaca contra el negro, y las olas del mar del collar diseñado por Priscila Canales, danzan sobre la clavícula. Estas olas abrazan tres enormes y bellísimas perlas mabe grado AAA con colores que van desde el rosa y morado, hasta azul y verde, con unos matices dorados.

Y tampoco hay que olvidar el anillo de perla mabe, también con un diseño como de olas que recorren el dedo de la Catrina, y complementa el conjunto

El Buen Fin llega a la Granja

Del 13 al 17 de Noviembre

Los días se acortan, la navidad amenaza su llegada, y nos encontramos en Noviembre, a poco de acabarse el año. Pero antes de entrar en pánico por esos regalitos que no hemos preparado, recordemos que en este mes llegan las buenas promociones.

Lady Catrina visits our Farm

By the sea,

Sea of Cortez,

Wondering who this lady Catrina is?

With November’s arrival, comes one of México’s most important holidays: Día de Muertos. This day is like a family reunion where we honor our dearly departed and celebrate their memory.

Poems like the one above are traditional, where Death is personified not as a scary grim reaper, but as Lady Catrina, a lively skeleton dressed in vibrant colors to join the celebrations.

And this time Lady Catrina has come to visit the Cortez Pearls Farm, directly from Maquilas Tetakawi to try on some of our famous pearls.

She paints our pier in lively colors, with her mourning dress, and beautiful flowers decorating her face and hair. Unifying life, and death, land and sea, and reminding us of life’s beauty.

Our pearls are known to be colorful, but in the video they really do shine through. The sterling silver contrasts against the black of her dress, and the sea waves of the necklace dance over her clavicle. This necklace was designed by Priscila Canales, and she enveloped three beautiful and enormous mabe pearls in the waves. The colors you can perceive on these pearls go from pink and purple, to green and blue, with some golden overtones.

And lets not forget about the mabe ring, also with a wavey pattern that envelops Lady Catrina’s finger and complements the ensemble.
